Tap into the deep and powerful resources of yoga with an afternoon of meditation at Trika Yoga.
Historically, yoga postures were designed to prepare the body and mind for meditation, which is why the word Asana, which we take to mean postures, actually means ‘seated position’ in Sanskrit. We were only meant to move our bodies enough to allow us to sit still and meditate. As modern lives became more sedentary, naturally we needed a more active yoga practice to calm the mind – although often the juiciest bit, the mediation, got left behind.
